GENERAL FAQs

  • Wear comfortable workout clothes that you feel ok sweating in. You’ll be laying down some of the time with your hands or legs in the air so make sure your clothes move with you. For the same reason if you choose to wear gym shorts: please wear bike shorts underneath.

If you have long hair wear it up so that it doesn't get caught in the equipment.

We require wearing grip socks for Pilates. You can bring your own water bottle – but we also have water for you.

Avoid wearing clothing with belts, zippers, or buttons that could catch and tear the equipment upholstery.

And lastly, you can bring your own personal water bottle – but we also have water for you.

  • Yes. Please visit our Pricing page to see our current new student specials.

  • Yes. We use an online registration and scheduling system called MindBody Online. Start using it by setting up an online account. Once you've registered head over to our Schedule page and look for a day and time that works for you. If for any reason you can't find a time slot send us a message or give us a call here and we'll do our best to get you in as soon as possible.

  • You will be building and toning your muscles and that muscle will continue to burn calories, even after you have left class. Many of our classes inject some cardio into them to help get your heart rate up and whittle away pounds. Calories in, calories out – with proper diet and a good mix of classes, you can definitely lose weight. That being said, our programs work best in conjunction with a good nutritional program.

  • Absolutely! It was started by a fitness buff, Joseph Pilates, and it remains a great workout for men.

  • Private and semi-private sessions and apparatus classes are 50 minutes long. This gives us time in between sessions to clean and disinfect before the next session.

  • Yes. Gift certificates are available online. Choose any denomination you wish. We will be happy to assist you with your decision and encourage you to call us or e-mail us with your questions, needs, and timeline.

  • We have a 24 hour cancellation policy, as a courtesy to our staff and guests. We ask that you contact the studio or cancel your appointment online if you are unable to make your appointment.

This policy is designed to minimize disruption to our clients, as a courtesy to our trainers who are compensated on a per client basis and allows the studio and teacher time to fill the slot. Late cancellations and missed appointments with less than 24-hour notice will be charged the full fee of the service reserved. This applies to all classes and appointments.

We understand that unforeseen emergencies come up. However, traffic, work and being under the weather are cancellations so please always cancel ahead of time if you foresee that happening to avoid being charged. Thank you in advance for your understanding!

  • Working out 4 to 5 times a week is ideal. Come a few times a week and mix it up with a bike ride, swim or hike to keep your work outs interesting. Joseph Pilates said: “In 10 sessions, you will feel the difference. In 20, you will see the difference. And in 30, you’ll be on your way to having a whole new body.” Of course, we would love to see you every day!

  • Unfortunately, we don’t have the space for child care. We love having little ones stop by to say “hi,” but we ask that children not stay at the studio. This is for their safety and to ensure safe, fun workouts for all by minimizing distraction for both trainers and clients.

  • So sorry, but no pets allowed. We love our furry friends, but ask that you not bring them to the studio. Some people are allergic to animals, and because they're so darn cute they can be a distraction to both trainers and clients.

PRIVATE TRAINING FAQs

  • Yes. Private training is ideal if you are new to Pilates, are recovering from an injury, or have specific fitness goals. Our trainers look at posture, body composition, lifestyle and general movement habits to build a custom session for optimum results. Private sessions are made by appointment only with your desired trainer.

if you are new to our studio or have never done Pilates or Gyrotonic we recommend you start with one of our introductory packages.

  • Yes. We call two-person training sessions “Duets.” They are a great way to stay committed to a regular workout schedule, because your friend will be counting on you. Duets work best when you and your partner can commit to the same schedule every week and have similar physical abilities and goals.

If you are new to Pilates, we recommend attending a couple of private Pilates sessions before you team up for Duet sessions.

CLASS FAQs

in person group classes have been discontinued for the short term. We hope to resume them in the near future.

  • Our cancellation policy is 24 hours in advance for classes, Privates and Semi-Privates. If you do not cancel before this window you will be automatically charged for the class or session. If you do not call to cancel and are a “No Show” then you will be charged the full rate of the session.

If you late cancel and someone from the waitlist gets your spot, you are still charged for the late cancel. To cancel a class you may cancel online, phone the studio or send an email. Sorry, no exceptions.

  • Definitely hop on the wait list for a class – we’ll notify you if a space opens up and you can decide then if you want to join us. If the wait list is full and you really want in the class, stop by and we’ll put you in if there is a last-minute no show. We do allow clients who are signed up to join 10 minutes late so you may be “bumped” if the signed-up client shows up (don’t worry you won’t pay for the few minutes you got to work out).

  • We ask you to take our 1-on-1 training on equipment before signing up for any of the classes. If you have done Pilates mat classes before, then you are one step ahead, but you still need to gain experience using the equipment. We want our classes to be challenging for all levels, so we ask that people know the basics before jumping into classes.

  • We give you lots of time to use them. Please check the package expiration to make sure it fits your time frame.

  • For your own safety and as a courtesy to others, we do not allow people to join the class who are more than 10 minutes late and if classes have a waitlist the class will be given to the next person in line. We know schedules can get harried, but please try to arrive to class on time.
