Our methods

What is Pilates?

A mindful, equipment-based practice that builds strength, coordination, breath, and control.

Strength from the inside out

Pilates is a system of controlled exercises that engage the mind and condition the total body. Using spring-based equipment like the Reformer, Cadillac, and Chair, it builds deep core strength, improves posture, and restores balanced, efficient movement.

At Body Evolutions we teach the Contrology Pilates Method, the original work of Joseph Pilates, adapted to your body, your history, and your goals. Every session emphasizes proper alignment, breath, and precision, so the strength you build in the studio carries into everyday life.

What a regular practice builds

Core strength and posture

Controlled, precise movements target the deep stabilizing muscles, for a stronger, leaner body with less strain on your joints.

Flexibility and mobility

Gentle stretching and full-range movement improve flexibility and keep your joints healthy at every age.

Pain-free living

Whether you are recovering from injury or managing chronic back pain, Pilates meets you where you are and builds you up safely.

Students working on the reformers in a small MOVE class

Small classes, real attention

Our certified instructors give individual attention in small group settings, so your alignment is right and you get the most from every exercise. MOVE Pilates equipment classes cap at just 4 people. You are never lost in a crowd.

New to Pilates? Every student begins with three private sessions, so you learn the fundamentals one-on-one before joining a group.

“Sonia is an excellent Pilates instructor. She is very knowledgeable about the human body. If you are having problems from operations or injuries, she knows what to work on to get you feeling better. I walk into the studio and walk out after my session always feeling better.”
